I have known Danielle for several years. She is the daughter of a dear friend and I’d always known her to be a beautiful person I don’t know if it didn’t cross my mind until now but we only recently got together to do a shoot. After some back and forth figuring out what we were gonna shoot and a phone call from my friend, ;-). We finally worked out a time and date, got the mua, and the crew together, and a theme and got it scheduled.
It was a particularly overcast and cloudy day though it looked like the sun tried to come out but never quite could do it so we had to add light in some etc to warm it up a bit. These photos were taken with my Nikon D3 and yes if you’ve noticed I’ve been using my Nikon a lot lately because my Fujifilm X-Pro2 is in the shop because I keep getting the ‘turn camera on turn camera off’ error problem and I sent it off for repair and I will talk about that in a different entry some other time!
As I always do I shoot wide open when I use my Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens as it gives some wonderful images and great separation of subject from the background.
Even though we didn’t get the usual sunny weather we receive on this beautiful island paradise we got some great images in the can and I am rather proud of these photos as she is a fun and outgoing muse, I had a great crew and Michelle did as she always does some flawless work on her makeup. Some of these photos are direct out of the camera and received no edits, other than to add the copyright information. See if you can spot those!
