Boston, New York, & D.C. + Leica Q2

I was headed to the East Coast, Boston to be exact, to visit my daughter, say hello, see if she needed anything, see if she was okay, and take her shopping et al., the parental stuff. So I figure whilst I’m here, I might as well take a trip down to New York and DC.

The plan would be to take the Amtrak, I would take the train as I have never been on an Amtrak train ever. I have been on a train, like subways, BART, the Metro, and even the bullet train to Japan, but I’ve never taken the Amtrak, so I thought it would be a fun little trip.

I would also bring along my Leica Q2 and use just that to capture these cities and the life of the city; I went out both days I was in NY and just wondered and kept shooting; some looked as if they would be good photos and others looked just eh, I suppose when I go through the photos, I’ll find out!

Fast forward, and I am now in NY after having spent 2 days here, wandering the city, seeing my cousins and having meals, and being tourists and also meeting with friends also seeing the city et al. Whilst I sit at the Moynihan Hall, it’s a beautiful place with wonderful architecture et al., the way I picture a train hall should be, large, grand and lots of natural light.

I will be on the train bound for DC in about an hour and a half and then 2 days in DC, then another train back to Boston, then on a plane the day after that back to sunnier California and warmer! Lol!

In the meantime, here is my take from NY, Washington DC, and a couple of photos from Boston!
